Northern Irelands Adobe Authorised Training Centre (AATC) works in partnership with the NTI Birmingham to deliver the first Apple accredited courses in Northern Ireland
The New Technology Institute (NTI) part of Birmingham City University has once again proved how it is one of Europe’s most successful Apple Authorised Training Centres, having just secured their latest deal with Big Wave Media Training in the Republic of Ireland.
With their innovative and influential approach to training, Big Wave Media Training seized the opportunity to work in partnership with the NTI, delivering Apple accredited courses that would work parallel with their current Adobe operation.
Liam Hurrel, Director of the Big Wave Media Training (BWMT), said: “The partnership between BWMT and NTI brings a powerful package to the Northern Ireland market place, at a time when businesses and education alike are looking to capitalise on the growing demand for digital media skills.
“As a digital media training specialist, we are the first Adobe Authorised Training Centre (AATC) in Ireland, so the Apple training and expertise from the NTI is a great complement to the Adobe training. Both Adobe and Apple products have always been designed with creativity in mind, so we are very excited to be able to offer the complete range.”
Neil Emery, Media Training Manager at the NTI, said: “Having delivered some entry level Apple technical training in Armagh and Belfast we received a huge response from delegates asking us to run full Apple Accredited courses in Northern Ireland. Working with Liam at Big Wave Media Training gives us the infrastructure and professional training set up we need to run Apple Accredited training to the same high standards we current deliver across the NTI network of centres in Birmingham, Leeds, Chester & Kingston upon Thames.”
As part of this partnership, the first Apple Accredited courses are due to be delivered in Belfast’s Queens University area in October 2008. This is a first for Northern Ireland, and speaks volumes about how Belfast is embracing the opportunities for digital media skills and training.
