The NTI in Birmingham administer exams on behalf of Apple & Adobe.

Delegates on Apple Accredited training courses can take the exam immediately after finishing the course and the exam start at approximately 1500 on the last day of the course.

Candidates looking to just take the exam without taking the course are able to book the exam only although there are some restrictions on some of the exams.

Adobe exams are administered differently and exam are not included in the Adobe Accredited Training courses.

It is advised that exam candidates need to have been using the software they intent to take the exam in for at least six months, preferably eighteen months, it is also advisable to attend a revision workshop prior to sitting your exam.

Exam workshops are one day and the exam is taken at approximately 3:00pm.

Apple Pro Certification Programs

What is an Apple Certified Pro?

A certified user who has reached the highest skill level in the use and operation of Apple's Pro Applications as attested to by Apple. Certification is attained by passing the online certification exam administered only at Apple Authorized Training Centers.

How do I become an Apple Certified Pro?

To become an Apple Certified Pro, you must pass an online exam administered at an Apple Authorized Training Center.

Level One exam's are administered at the end of specific courses facilitated at the Centres, or if you prefer to learn on your own or believe you already have the necessary skill set in your chosen application, you may register to take the exam at an Apple Authorized Training Centre for a fee.

Level Two exams can be taken only in conjunction with the Advanced Classes taught at the Apple Authorized Training Centers.

Becoming an Apple Certified Trainer

Do I have to take a class to become certified?

For Level One exams, you may take the exam without taking a class. Level Two exams require a Level One Certification and can only be achieved by taking the approved Advanced class for the certification.

For IT Professionals

Apple offers technical training for professionals who are responsible for planning, maintaining, and integrating Mac OS X, Mac OS X Server, Xserves, and Xserve RAID into a network environment. The curriculum objectives support a tiered certification program for system administrators, technical coordinators, and support professionals.

Demonstrate your knowledge of managing and troubleshooting computers running Mac OS X v10.5. The Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) 10.5 certification is granted on successful completion of the Mac OS X Support Essentials v10.5 exam.

Demonstrate your knowledge of Mac OS X Server v10.5, and take the Mac OS X Server Essentials v10.5 exam. Apple Certified Technical Coordinator (ACTC) 10.5 certification is granted on successful completion of both the Mac OS X Server Essentials v10.5 exam and the Mac OS X Support Essentials v10.5 exam.

This certification also counts towards Apple Certified Media Administrator certification, which verifies in-depth knowledge of Xsan architecture, including an ability to install and configure systems, architect and maintain networks, customize and troubleshoot services, and integrate Mac OS X, Final Cut Server, and other Apple technologies within an Xsan installation.
